I am excited to announce that I have created three separate walking tours to allow people to experience and interact with some of San Diego's finest examples of historical architecture! All the tours are interactive Google Maps with images, notes, and accompanying video that shed light on the history of each building, as well as directions on how to get from place to place on foot!
After a little consideration, I've decided that I will devote my Digital Pedagogy Project to teaching others a little about the architecture of San Diego. I've loved architecture (and learning about architecture) since college, but I've found that reading about it isn't as interesting when I don't have anyone to discuss it with, and when I can't actually see the buildings for myself! Putting together a course about some of the most beautiful and (culturally) important buildings of San Diego will be an opportunity for me to spend more time researching it for a wider audience! Some ideas of what I hope to include in my Digital Pedagogy Project:
